Day #36

Ok, it has been awhile. We went to Myrtle Beach (which really sucked to be honest--I would have rather stayed home or went somewhere else...anywhere else.) But, I did mark some stuff off of my list:
-I swam up to the bar and got a Bahama Mama.
-I laughed until I cried...after I drank an entire bucket of Bahama Mama.
-& I got 4 of my 6 cups from Ultimate California Pizza. ( :( I still need to try to get 2 more.)
Then we came home to a full week of no power which wasn't terrible BUT no hot showers & no fridge sucked (we lost hundreds in groceries) NOT TO MENTION it put us an entire week behind on our house. :( But, I do thank every AEP worker and workers from surrounding states for working so hard and giving up time with families to help us.
I guess I need to get cooking though. Brent will be home sometime from working the entire weekend delivering water, ice, & MREs.

Days 15-16

So, technically we are in day number sixteen of my summer although the day really hasn't even started yet. Sometimes I think that 6 or 7 AM should mark the official start of a new day OR maybe 12:00 should be rearranged to coincide with the beginning morning, but I suppose way back they weren't thinking about my ever-so-important blog about my summer when making the calendar & time measurements...only the moon and sun and all of that. :P
Today, Brent & I went to his mom & dads for some steak. Honestly, that is all we done. Brent did go spray off his truck. haha. Laziness for today is ok though BECAUSE tomorrow begins nonstop eventfulness!
Brent, of course, has work Monday, Thursday, & Friday.
Monday-Brent is also going to get a haircut. I am going to UC to try to get my credits transferred AND get transcripts all in one day. Please pray for me. I know it is trivial to most of the needs in the world, but a small one for me would be appreciated! I am going to enjoy a $5 all you can eat lunch at UC. I plan on picking up some primer & white paint since I'll be out anyways. & hopefully go to the board to finally get this permit business squared away & see about my class refund if it isn't too late. (PLEASE PRAYERS, PLEASE!)

Tuesday: WE ARE CLOSING ON OUR HOUSE!!! Ahhhhhhh!!!!

Wednesday: Happy WEST VIRGINIA DAY! & painting day for me! :P Hopefully, if my husband will be so kind to pull out all of my cabinets for me & take the base boards up which I may actually be able to do myself!

Thursday-Saturday: Will be spent on my house! :) SOOOO HAPPY! I hope my friends and family come visit me just to celebrate my happiness. I really don't even care if they help or not.
I will also be packing for the beach BECAUSE---

Sunday: We will be going to Myrtle Beach! Staying at Hotel Blue. It is the one with the swim up bar which will take care of one of my to-dos on this here bucket list! :P Also, I can get my 6 cups from Ultimate California Pizza & RiverCity Cafe! Oh, ya know & dig my toes in the sand and feel that ocean breeze! :)

I wish our bodies had some mechanism that expressed extreme happiness like crying expresses extreme sadness. Sure there is smiling, but there is also frowning. I guess right now I am just so happy that I could cry! My life is at its absolute best & years ago I would have never imagined my life to be this great. Ever since my husband came into my life it has just improved & improved. He has been so great to me! & because I met him, God was reintroduced into my life which is another reason I think everything has been improving! Ever since I was little I could recite the Lord's Prayer. Of course, for at least 2 years I just mumbled it & thought that would be enough--childhood innocence at its best. Then I started recited it with meaning...taking in wholeheartedly what it meant. Every time I got to the part 'Please forgive us of our debts as we forgive our debtors' or as many of you know, 'forgive us of our trespasses as we forgive those that trespass against us,' I would pay special attention to it, internalize it, say it slower, and really identify it more than the other lines. I felt as if I had so many debtors & I had so many debts to God as well. Now when I say it and try to think of specific examples, it is so hard to internalize because I don't have many debts nor do I have debtors any longer. (only one that I have come close to completely forgiving.) I feel that the less debts we have as human beings the less people we have go against us. I thank God so much for this. I see people on Facebook all the time complaining about drama & the people that do them wrong. This generally occurs because they themselves are just as bad. Sure, I am far from perfect. I have plenty of faults, but they are lessening as I grow closer to God. I know I will never be perfect & I know that I will always have a chance of getting hurt by other people, but I also know that I will never be hurt as bad as I have in he past ever again. I have a God that walks beside me through everything, a God & a Lord that are forgiving to my debts and are always here for me--ALWAYS!
A God and a Lord that have blessed me with this life, with my husband, and this happiness that I am feeling! EXTREME HAPPINESS--I didn't think it possible for me! :)

Day #13

Well I have successfully finished season 1 of Gilmore Girls! (1/7 of the series DOWN!)

Also, toooday I went to Mountain State & got my transcripts! Woohoooo! That has released quite a bit of stress. Now I have to have UC transfer the credits and get transcripts from them by the weeks end. Prayers would be appreciated here!

And we are closing on our house in 3.5 days!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! I am so excited. God has truly blessed me!

I also picked up an ice cream cake from DQ on the way home today! :) not on my original bucket list, but the longtime craving I had for one kind of added it a little later.

On Tuesday, I also went to the mall with my best friend in the entire world, Sarah Jane & bought my FIRST COACH purchase--a purse!!! & spent a liiiittle too much at American Eagle & then at Michaels, but it was all so worth it! We ate at Habachis as well! YUM! If anybody can give me the recipe for that soup, it would be greatly appreciated. P

I also painted a picture to bring colors together in my BRAND NEW kitchen! :)

Playing catch up on Day #9.

Ok, ok...technically this is day #10, buuut I haven't been to bed yet. Things I have done in the past few days:
*Watched through 3/4 on disc four of season 1 of Gilmore Girls. (getting there, lol!)
*Received a 300 dollar SS check for a child support error from 5 years ago!!! Talk about crazy & lucky!
*Attended Miss Haylee's birthday party! :)
*Went 4-wheeling
*Cleaned up the house a bit
*Had a mental & emotional breakdown over the lack of communication from my biochemistry teacher.
*Woke up to an email from said biochemistry teacher telling me that he is grading my stuff tonight. (which the grades are still not posted BUT hey he emailed me back!) Now if the grades just get put in, I can go to MSU and get my transcript, bring it to UC& get a transcript from them, & then bring it. To the board so I can get an updated permit. Sheeewwww, all by next week AND hopefully get my money back from the courses BECAUSE:
****WE ARE CLOSING ON OUR HOUSE AT 1:00 NEXT TUESDAY! & all the money I can get will help! So excited to be a homeowner in exactly ONE WEEK! Woohoo!
Update you tomorrow night!

Day #4

Well today started off with my husband getting extremely mad because he overslept & didn't make it into work. He will remain mad all day more than likely so I'm just going to do my best to stay away from him so he doesn't turn me into a Debbie Downer.

Also, this morning I found out that I was rewarded the high school job!!!
Wooohooo!!! (now I just need MSU to update my grades so I can turn my hours in!!!)

11:00PM update: Brent fixed my Jeep! :) I have made meatloaf & homemade chicken noodle soup. Also made double chocolate chip cookies! :) (PART of the bucket list) AND I watched the first disc of the first season of Gilmore Girls! (that is a start! HAHA!!!)
The day ended pretty great ALTHOUGH, MSU STIILLLL hasn't put in my final biochem. grade...or rather the teacher they hired. My Summer will become ultimately perfect once that grade gets updated!

Day #3

This has been the most peaceful day! Should I have put on a decent outfit, fixed my hair, and enjoyed some warm fresh air? Probably, buuut I really enjoyed my lazy day in! :) I made baked chicken, roasted potatoes, corn muffins, & peas for dinner & some quality time with the husband.

We also found out that we will be closing on our house the end of next week or the beginning of the week after.

I still haven't received any grade updates from Mountain State. (frustrating!!!)

I also booked hotel rooms for my 2 trainings this Summer.

Annnd hopefully I find out the fate of my teaching placement soon.

(I am very excited to get this general science degree out of the way & NOT be on permit anymore!)

The Unlucky Day

Day 2 of my Summer was spent dealing with things that were on my no-fun list. I really hope to get the majority of these out of the way so I can just do fun things! I attempted to go grocery shopping with my Jeep, but it completely shut down on me. Thank goodness not in a curve & I was fine. It also started back up & I got it safely back home. My husband already has the parts to fix it!

Then I tried to contact my biochem. teacher about all of my grades since I NEED THEM! However, that was a no-go as well.

I then attended my first TIS training webinar & it wasn't too bad, but I am now feeling terribly overwhelmed with everything I have to complete over the next year for it!

My husband took me shopping after he got home from work & we had McDonalds so the day wrapped up nicely. He is at his great-aunt's funeral today though so all is not cheery, but hopefully fun summer resumes tomorrow on day 4!

Step #1

Step 1: Rent a chick flick on pay-per-view--CHECK!
The particular chick flick was 'The Vow.' The movie was very great like most movies with Rachel McAdams; although I wish the ending was a little more in depth.
I guess I should go to bed now so that I don't completely mess up my schedule so early in the summer! ;)
My husband (Mr. Can't sit still even if that means having 2 jobs) starts on the county crew again tomorrow & I want to be able to wake up & see him off!
Love & Happiness, Mrs. Vance

"After a hectic first year of teaching, I am finally off on a glorious summer break! This is my first full summer as a wife & paid teacher.
